Yiren Ren, a sixth-year Ph.D. student in Georgia Tech’s School of Psychology, is studying how music impacts learning and memory. Writer Jerry Grillo conjectures that ""possibly, she’s listening to Norah Jones, or another musician she’s comfortable with.
